I love distressed wood; it makes a space cozy, inviting and almost speaks as if it carries a secret history.
I found this picture on the HGTV.com and was immediately taken by the room.
The distressed wood, rustic decor, wrought iron accessories and hexagonal floor all add flare to the room. I especially like the mirror, it has an old world charm and is an artistic focal point in the room!
For those who love clean lines, but want to attain that extra
warmth take a look at the picture to the left. The bronze and pewter paired with the gold walls creates an old world ambiance. While the stone fireplace makes us all want to cozy up on the couch with our favorite book. The chest is an absolute favorite of mine, and I would have never thought to paint the walls gold... ahh...deliciously cozy!Thanks HGTV we luv ya!
